A German male nurse sentenced to life imprisonment two years ago for killing two patients, may face new charges as a suspect in 84 more murders.
Niels Hoegel, 40, was jailed in February 2015 for killing two intensive-care unit patients with lethal drug overdose at the Delmenhorst hospital near northern city of Bremen.
The police said on Monday that investigators exhuming and analyzing more bodies had so far found evidence of “84 more murders”, which could make Hoegel one of the country’s worst serial killers.
