Nigeria Women Bobsledding Team to Make History as First Africa Team at Winter Olympics

A trio of Nigerian women are making history as the continent’s first-ever bobsled team to compete in the Winter Olympics.
Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga are expected to compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, as the first-ever African representatives — male or female — to qualify for the Winter Games in the sport of bobsled.

First Winter Olympics berth in ski jumping for China

China made a break-through in ski jumping as Chang Xinyue claimed a Winter Olympics berth for the first time in history with a place of 16th in the Ski Jumping World Cup women's event which was concluded in Zao, Japan.
